Our school has a great reputation for being friendly. We are the perfect size, small enough to care and big enough to count. Often described as, "Small and powerful." We offer a physically and emotionally safe school environment. We give your child a strong grounding in reading writing and mathematics. We strive to attain the very highest standard of achievement possible for your child. We do lots of fun stuff too, e.g. swimming, computers, arts and craft, cultural.
We cater for your child's needs by providing high quality programmes to extend and support their learning needs and talents. We do this by having expert teachers who are New Zealand trained including in ESOL, swimming, Te Reo and Kapa Haka, extension art, music, choir and writing groups supported by teacher aides. We are regularly and actively involved in sports with other schools and weekend netball.

Whaia te iti kahurangi, ki te tuohu koe me maunga teitei – In pursuit of what is precious to Aotearoa New Zealand, Edmonton Primary School with be opening a bilingual classroom for new entrants – year 2 in 2016. This will involve teaching and learning from the New Zealand curriculum, with up to 25% instruction in Te Reo Māori.
In addition to this class, we will also be providing enrichment classes for years 3-6. Students will have the opportunity to participate in Te Reo Māori language learning groups for 2 blocks a week (180mins in total). The focus of these classes will be to acquire the Māori language to be used for conversational purposes. Students will be withdrawn from class for these enrichment times.
