Welcome
WELCOME. I am the proud Principal of Edmonton Primary School. Having taught all primary class levels, intermediate and Years 7 & 8 in a secondary school, my teaching experience has been somewhat wide and extremely rewarding. Having held various teacher, Senior Teacher and Deputy Principal positions in state and private schools has given me a good grounding in how good schools should operate. As a Reading Recovery and special needs teacher I developed a strong advocacy for less fortunate pupils. A degree in school organisation & management and a post graduate diploma in special education has taught me how to think critically about education.Living in the West for 33 years, married with three children, my teaching has been interspersed with a several breaks outside teaching which I believe has given me a practical view to bring balance to the theoretical. I am interested in boating, fishing, model building, aviation, and lately writing. I bring a mixture of skills and experience in dealing with various people from all backgrounds. I am extremely fortunate and privileged to work with such terrific staff, pupils and parents in a fantastic school. The golden rule to a good school is simple, nice people equals nice school. This is my number one personal goal.
